Marquette University claims religious exemption from recognizing adjunct faculty union

Marquette Jesuits have more recently weighed in. The Rev. Gregory J. O’Meara, who serves as rector of Marquette's Jesuit community, and the Rev. T. Michael McNulty said they thought it would be "useful" to recall the church's basic beliefs on labor unions. The two said unions represent "the material manifestation of our commitment to the Common Good."
